I have a customer that has a very mature Scotch pine, beautiful habit and alot of orange exfoliating bark. DBH 28 inches, on of the best specimans ive ever seen for my area. The customer wants to remove the tree because of its continual needle drop on their new deck. I want to elevate and sanitation prune. If the customer insists on removal is there any value for the main log?

Hey there Millbilly.

I live in Aston Mills and am wondering if I know you. I too run a tree care company, however you have many more years in than I do.

There is a company nearby that might be able to help, and if not, I know a mill owner who might be looking for a log like that.
