This web site describes on how to build a leak tester.

I used a brass plug between the couplers instead of using epoxy. The #60 drill bit is tiny and breaks easily. The brass was not too bad to drill, but epoxy would have been better.
The spark plug came apart well as soon as the metal rim was ground off. I used a small cut off wheel to take off the rim, which worked well. The porcelain then slid right out.
Make sure the wrench or whatever is used to hold the crankshaft is secure and then slowly bring the pressure up to 100 psig.
My 3120 looked like 1 or 2 percent percent at TDC.
