I currently have my General Liability Insurance through a local agent, but the policy is up for renewal. Before I renew it I wanted to get some other quotes. Are there any national companies I should be checking with who specialize in tree care insurance. What are you guys paying as far as premiums go? I have no clue wether I am getting a good deal or not.

I'm in the same boat as you right now. I'm talking w/ fidelity right now. Hartford is the company who will actually be insuring me though. They're one of the only which i know which caters to the arborist crowd.

I just signed up to a 1mill/2mill policy. dont have the equip rider yet, but its less than $750/yr.

I'd give his name here but its against rules. Call me if your interested.

Just got a policy at less than half the cost of any other quote. SHEBOYGAN FALLS MUTUAL MUTUAL. P.O. Box 159, Sheboygan Falls, Wi. 53085-0159. I have a small part time stump grinding business and paid 376.00. My agent is CIS Group, Tomahawk, Wi. 715-453-3366. I think I talked to Tim.

Just shop around with the local independent agencies. They all work with several underwriters and should have no problem getting you a good ploicy.

I have not had the same underwriter for several years now, but been with the same agency for ~7. They keep me with a $1M for around 1200 per annumn

LXT, here any info on insurance please pass onto me through e-mail, my rate just went up $300.00 and im accident/claim free reason i was told was supply and demand plus a 10% increase in the tree field with non exp. people. dont ya love that? get layedoff from the airport start a tree bus. & ins co. raises rates across the board. and when i told my agent so accident free & 18yrs exp. mean nothin, her reply- where here to sell insurance!!! so consumers beware anyone can buy ins. for tree work, anyone!!!!!!!
