Just curious which, if any, smaller saws, say 30-40cc, do not have an outboard clutch? I really do like the improved chip flow of an inboard clutch design.
Yeah, that would be great... wonder why they don't bring it here?Maybe if we Holler LOUD enough we will get the PS3410TLC which is a rear handled version.

My arms would like something smaller and lighter for it! The 5100S will easily handle the bigger stuff. Why not use the 5100S you already have? :greenchainsaw:
This is for an unusual use. But it makes a difference.
When cutting a bunch of very small trees with a chain saw in a swath-like motion; the wider opening on the clutch side cover and inboard clutch combined make for a better release of any grass.
If you go to the south, this happens in pockets on some thinning projects. The grass component can be fairly dense down there.
The Huskys we had all had narrower discharges and outboard clutches at that time.
They clogged up regularly. Since then, Husky has copied Stihl in this area with some of its saws and that problem may be solved.
Again, this is a bit unusual; normally you'd take on stuff like this with 'weed eater class' equipment. However, when in smaller areas of this or on fireline construction, this design feature is nice to have.
