Hello All!
Ordered a Line Tamer from Sherrill 2 wks ago. After receiving it, called Johnny Carter and he shipped me a new one because the original one did not work.

Got new one today and it doesn't seem to work either. Took top cap off and got it to work properly once in 20 tries. I am feeding it through the small hole in the direction of the arrow with Zing It 2.2. Makes a whizzing noise but does not grab rope and feed it through. Burned end of Zing It. Line has a slight buldge at end after burning it. Could that be a problem?

TIA
Kevin

I have had mine for a while now. Mine never has burned the Zing It, it actually makes a snapping sound (good) when the line gets inserted in. The only time it spins on the string it if there is a kink or if there is a tangle.

It it wont fit through the wheels, then yes that will stop it. Try taking off the cap, feeding line through, and put it back on, making sure that the line is engaged by the wheels.

If that works, then cut off you burnt end. I leave mine loose and cut off the end when it gets to stringy to feed.

Just ordered a line tamer. Does anybody use a gallon milk jug to store there zing it line? If so do you have a problem with it tangling up? I just hate untangling the line

I use a half gallon gatoraid jug with no problems. Every once in a while, it will get a tangle, but nothing major.
