Loading Logs by mechanical advantage

Hello, I have read and reread several old forums but was hoping for a video, diagram, or more detailed explanation.
I am needing to more easily load logs and large diameter wood into my dump truck which is elevated quite high from the ground. I DO NOT have a skid, loader, lift gate, etc. (although I hope to have one of those soon). I am looking for a video or detailed explanation loading logs using ropes, blocks, pulleys, 1 truck in addition to the dump truck. I have tried ramps and ropes as well as a homemade truck crane with a chain hoist but hoping to find out how to more easily lift the logs to the dump bed and lower them down into the bed.

When using the ramps, were you dragging the logs up or parbuckling them?
This video is an example of how to parbuckle, if you are not familiar.


You'd just have to cut them to the width of the bed and go in the back, not the side like in the video.

Parbuckle - that's the word I was grasping for. It'll be safer and go more smoothly, especially with irregular logs, if you use 2 loops.

I have used spiderleg rigging on branches. A rope is tied to both ends of the branch and a Y in the middle is formed with a Blake’s hitch so that you can keep the branch horizontal. I’ll see if I can find a picture. It works if you know how to use ropes. And if you have a tree that is tall enough to drive under…

Yeah I’ve done this before. More so looking for rigging/redirect ideas placing a block on the truck and a nearby tree to lift and load them once the trunk or large diameter wood is on the ground.

I saw a video in the past of running a rope to the top of the dump truck through an eyelet and to a block off a nearby tree and anchored to another truck. I tried it and was unsuccessful so I was hoping someone had a similar video, explanation, or diagram of how to use the trucks, ropes, and blocks/pulleys to do this.
