Recently purchased a lockjack sport, after doing lots of reading before my purchase it seemed the LJ would self tend after some rope weight was below the LJ....however after some climbs I realized that's not so true!!! I'm a line clearance journeyman and I climb many trees and have lots of tie in points throughout the day and I think I realized that the " magical rope gobbling" feature of the LJ must be from using a pulley in a false crotch setup because I'm always tied into natural crotches and it seems the extra friction creates slack above the LJ ,making me have to pull slack out below it..especially during limb walking! Anyone else had this misconception about the LJ
