Locktite on bar stud?

On my MS440, the shoulder on the front bar stud is ground flat from a previous owner's abuse. I finally have the correct replacement. Do you recommend using Loctite to secure it, and if so which kind?

The on/line Stihl service manual states Loctite 270 @ 17 ft-lb of torque, but I use blue Loctite 242. Look it up & print a copy.

Any kind of medium strength thread locker will work.

I use Loctite Blue 246 but 242 would be fine.
