The saw below is a Comango, does it look like your saw?

L ooks like a 68cc Comango.

I believe it to actually be a Super Comango due to the placement of the oil fill cap under the muffler and the muffler shape itself.

Lombard always had the coolest names of any saw company.
Names like Foresters Fury, Invader 682, Goliath, Tempest, Tornado, Gadiator, Wonder, Black Bantam, and the Woodot Wizard series to name a few.

LOL The very first saw I ever personally owned was a Lombard 3A Woodlot Wizard!!........I was in 7th grade......I used it to mostly cut up slab wood for the kitchen cookstove in my mothers kitchen........didn't even know how to file a saw when started with it......

We had a dealer not too far from me for many years til his passing, While the Lombard saws looked very cool I really had no interest in them being a Pioneer guy /family I ran them til the mid 80`s along with the Poulan 306A til we found the Sachs Dolmar saws to be superior for our needs.

Actually now I'm seeing both the Comango and Super comango have the same oil fill position and may or may not have the same muffler. But either way it is one or the other for sure. 68cc.....
They always reminded me of the Homelite XL12 style of saw but never ran or owned the Lombards.

Very similar to the S/XL12 but with ten more cc's. The SXL's were good cutters but loud and shook like crazy!!! So I expect the Camnago would cut a little better, be louder and shake more.....
The 3A Woodlot Wizard was the only one I ever ran........it was ancient even back then....like from '52-53.....ran the throttle with your thumb.....had two throttles...one for normal cutting and one 90 degrees off for cutting on it's side. Geare drive....loud and slow it was.....but for a 13 year old boy......I owned my own chainsaw!!!!!

At 13 I was running a Pioneer600 like the one in my avatar, heavy, yes but not wicked bad on vibration and it cut wood for moms woodstove/ cookstove and our room heater. Those big saws were all we had to cut wood for both cooking and heat back then, dad`s brothers were trying to run McCullochs at that time with less than stellar success. I only got to run the Homelites around late 70`s , they cut well enough but the vibes were bad, the saws were much lighter than the 600.

Lombard Super Comango
Had 6 minutes left on zero bids, eBay:
Winning bid:
US $75.00
1 bid s/h to my trees $50
"Saw runs good. Wasn’t used much and was in storage for 30 years. My grandfather oiled the cylinder before putting it in storage. Original carb and all I cleaned was needle valve seat. Either had original spark plug or hadn’t been changed since the 70s when I got it running. It was a vintage champion plug. Bar and chain are aftermarket and like new. couple grommets need replaced around the air intake. Oiler works. Send me a message with your email and I’ll send you a link to see it running."
