I'm looking at a small tow behind tractor style limbco chipper. I can't find any info online about limbco period except for a couple un answered posts on this site when I google it. Who is limbco?

This unit has a 20hp kohler engine, and takes up to 4.5" branch. Guy wants 900, I figure this is a decent starter to get brush chipped untill I'm ready for a real tow behind.

My other option is a 1985 brush bandit 12" that is even less with a bad head gasket on JD 75 hp motor. I'm considering this because I'm a mechanic also, and I can fix it. But I also can't spend all my time fixing a dinosaur either. The Limbco appears to be in very nice shape.

Any input is appreciated, I don't want a harbor freight, or no name chipper that I can't find parts for, but it has a Kohler engine, so I'd think if they'd put that on there it may be a decent unit?

Guess my first question would be why would you even consider buying a chipper that isn't easy to get parts for. Buy the bandit and fix it. You will be more happy in the long run.

I've also heard that parts for old chippers are hard to get, that bandit is a 1985, are parts still available?
