Does anyone have any idea where to find a Carlton SP7015trx (used) out west? I'm in UT having no luck with online searches. Anyone know about how much to plan to spend?

Thanks

Joe, I looked on your website and did not see the grinders listed. Can you give me more details? I have found one other one with around 900hrs on it but looks to be in good condition. Please send me some info on the machines you have.

Thanks,

Seth

I would watch who you buy equipment from. Tri sells alot of white washed junk.

Good luck finding a grinder right now. They are few and far between.

Not to defend tristate but I can say first hand my old boss Bought a 75 foot elevator truck from him and joe did everything he could to help my dead beat ex boss get into the truck an 3 years latter that white wash truck as you call it is still going strong and paid for it self several times over with only normal Maintenance. Call his stuff what you want it's what the market has to offer him that he takes in an goes threw then resells. Some stuff is great an some not so much normaly his prices reflect it. My only Complaint with him is he sells to anyone with cash so there has been several guys start tree company's In central jersey that is already Crowded as forestry companies go, but you can't knock him for trying to make a living.

I have to chime in here. You are saying he shouldn't sell equipment to someone who might be competition for you??
Think about this for a moment.

I was speaking Sarcastically my last line says he's got to make a living meaning he has to sell to who walks threw his doors with interest an the funds. I do wish there was some sort of safety screening because there has been a lawn company that on Monday they were cutting grass and by Friday they were a tree service using the same no Experience lawn crew to do Dangerous removals anyone who know trees work i think would agree that's a recipe for disaster. But that is not tristate fault or the OP point of this thread so ill take my Opinion elsewhere.

He sells alot of sketchy equipment. I am not the only one that had bad dealings with him.

Thanks for your input everyone. I didn't mean to cause a bashing with the question :) I did find a Carlton trx and used it for the first time last night, which I have to say was an eye opener! I can't believe I didn't get one of these sooner. John at Carlton and the rest of the crew were fantastic to work with, I purchased used since I can't quite afford one of the new machines but the one they sent me seems to be in really good condition. They also made sure that the machine had been gone through and everything was working properly. I can't say enough good about these guys at Carlton. I did a 4ft swath (roots, stump, dirt) 10" deep in 6.5 minutes. Stump was 24" at base and the machine seemed to want more! Big change from the little Rayco we used to rent 4 times a month for $340 a day. I used to hate stump grinding, one of the necessary evils of tree work I believed. I think that may change.

Now I need to find a better suited trailer to pull the thing around.
