im currently in search of my newest conquest. im looking for a large saw. there arent many around here local.(nothing over 4 ci).any one know where a good place to find a good project saw? even if it needs a cylinder .

Wedge- just how big do you want to go? I have Macs all the way up to 137cc. I have Husky 288s. I have Stihl 066s. I have Jonsereds up to a 2095 turbo. ( although, in this instance the "turbo" designation is not to much an indication of a super charger, but rather the rad aftermarket air filter made from tube socks and plumber's putty that I've installed ).

Like he said ,what do you want in a engine size .
A 3120 or 088 or what ,if i was me i would start with a 372 or around that size . The 372 does very well to mods. and you donot have to buy anything for it but if you want the big guy i would go for the 088 because it has a stronger bottom end

im not sure i was figuring on a 044 or bigger. i have only really dealt with stihls as far as working on them but a johnsy or husky of larger size would be cool. my problem is where i live the trees are all under 3 feet wide so larger saws dont sell well and the biggest i can find is around a 036 in size. im lookin for somthin that needs a work buts not really trashed. basically id like a winter project thatll take $$$ to get going. any one know where i can get one?

Hi Wedge

I might be able to hook you up with a pretty nice 3120 that needs a top end. What`s your budget? BTW, where exactly in "Upstate NY" are you. I`m 30 miles north of Syracuse and we call it Central NY around here.

I should be able to find you a 084 or a 088 if you like or a 066 they all make good saws

i figure the right one will brop in my lap for the right price in the right shape the brand wont be quite so important. if any one has anything heres my email [email protected] . a 066 stihl would be nice

im kinda thinking on a 066, or a larger husky (ive never owned a husky before). id like a solo or dolmar but i think parts are a bit impossible to find.
