Well my old 665 A finally blew up ..again. No more air cooled engines for tree work. I am looking for a rayco rg90 or maybe a Carlton but something self propelled with plenty of diesel power. Anyone know where to get a good used one? thanks guys

Vermeer 1152

I used to have 2 665's. I traded them in on a tow behind 1102 when they first came out with them (great machine BTW). Vermeer brought out an 852 and it was really nice. Self-propelled grinders were just hitting the market. I didn't buy it. Once you have high horsepower you will never go back. I told them," If you make this same machine with 110hp, I will buy it." A year and a half later they brought out the 1152 and I bought it. I did demo the Rayco 90 hp unit. The Vermeer outperforms the Rayco in every way. I got the wireless remote. I paid off the machine in no time. I live in a somewhat rural area and this machine will easily make $350-$400 per hour. I can't imagine the money you could make with it in Richmond,VA. IMO, it has no equal.
