Hello everyone! This is my first time with a question! I have been cutting for for years now and have either split the majority by hand or splitting with splitter when the opportunity rarely pops up. I have been shopping pretty hard, but the difference between them is hard to determine the best buy for the money. I split about 30 faces a year. I have researched the Huskee 22 ($1099) , 28 ($1599), and 35 ton ($1900), Ariens 27 ton ($1599), troy built 27 ton ($1399), mtd 25 ton, and the 25 ton yard machine. Hoping to stay in or around $1400 either new or good shape used. Any suggestions for best option? Briggs versus the Honda or Subaru engines? I do like the design of the Subaru equipped Ariens with the motor mounted upfront away from the falling logs. Thanks in advance, Bob
