I've been cutting trees for quite some time now, but I've been subbing out my climbing work. Rather than lose that money, I want in. I also want to learn how to do it the right way. I am looking for a dependable, trustworthy company that will teach me the ropes. Pardon the pun. I not only want to learn the climbing techniques, but also proper cutting technique while hanging from a rope in a tree. I have been looking at the company Arbor Master, but I am open to any advice and opinions of people who may have some first hand experience taking a class.

Climbing Classes

Vermeer dealerships around the country are hosting FREE Arbormasters training seminars. You should call the closest Vermeer dealer to you and ask them if they are hosting one of these free seminars. You should take advantage of this opportunity being that the seminars usually run about $150 a head.

lots to be said for classes but experience is most needed. Buy a saddle and rope and connect with rec climbers in your area; just a thot.

O and have you connected with WCISA? They are an excellent chapter.
