I when I started a tract with a large supply of poplar I had a good market for the large Poplar trees that are on it, about 80 trailer loads, it was headed for the pallet market which I guess has soften a little in the last few month and I need to market some of it some place else. my buyer will only take a load a week. Towanda which has a chip plant will take some of it but it is a shame to put nice saw logs in to chips and also take 5 bucks a ton less for it. Any help or names or places to try would be appreciated. I can load trailers in my landing or truck myself local...Bob

Good luck, We send a good amount up to Rutland plywood in Vt but they have stopped buying for a few months and Finch paper in Glensfalls NY who will usually start buying in the pealing season said they arent going to take any this year. If your cutting Tulip Poplar I think Columbia plywood is still buying 12"+ clear butts

I guess we are finding out about the same things when it comes to markets. last summer fall things seemed to be hot and demand good now I am finding everyone has quotas, or is shutting everyone off. I think the markets are pretty soft right now
