I'm trying to find some loggers who sell large loads of pole wood I can cut up for firewood at my new farm. I'll be in Howard County MD just off rt 70/40. I've tried google search for logging companies and only get a few hits. (who i've got calls into already)

How does someone go about finding large deliveries of trees? The new farm has some downed lumber but is mainly open land, pastures etc, certainly not enough...

Try the phone book yellow pages...most loggers use that and not the internet.
Logging/land clearing/firewood

Cool thanks guys ! I haven't seen a phone book delivered here at the house lately... but I know there's some old ones in the farm office lol !

Saw Shop

Every area has an OPE retailer / saw shop(s) that caters to loggers, firewood sellers, tree services, utilities, etc. These shops make it their business to know who is doing what, where, and when. They can and will give you all the contact info. Any business they throw their customer's way is repaid in equipment purchases and repairs, one hand washes the other so to speak. I get a lot of per diem work inquiries through the 2 local shops that know me.

Take Care
