I stopped by my local Stihl/Husky dealer today and they just got in 20 Husky 372's in. Boy was I tempted! He also said they can only get MS441's at the moment and that the 440 could already be gone for good. Any hear different?

Last I heard, the 440 would be around for a bit, but is for sure on it's way out. 
UGHHH!! Why can't we have consistency in availability to ALL dealers?!? I just called husky this week and they told us that the US markey may or may not get any more 372's and they would not accept any attempted orders/backorders. As for stihl 440's in our area we can still get them for now.
I wonder if the 440 is going to be like the 372 and keep coming back? Is it the EPA credits that allow the mfg's to bring in more old saws? Something else? Strange that different parts of the country have different availability
My dealer said many people are moving up to the 460 for roughly the same weight and not much more money. They have sold a bunch of 441's and no problems so far. That was good to hear.
I think this summer when my youngest is out of preschool I'm going to treat myself to a new saw.
