COLOR=Magenta]Hello
We are first timers on this site, but life long tree trimmers (at least it seems that way). We want to have our own business be licsenced and insured to trim and or remove trees however are clueless as to the steps we have to take and how much insurance is gonna be. We live in South Louisiana, if anybody knows, please let us know, thanks so much.

When I went down for the hurricane I contacted the state forestry devision in regards to licensing. They told me that I needed to stop in and take a written test which follows the ISA tests which comes with a fee and passing the test will license you in Louisiana. Don't have the number anymore. Sorry.

Insurance

We have Liberty Mutual. It was the best rate for the most coverage we could find.

Thank you for the information, we need all the help we can get. We lost our home to Katrina and really need to get going with this, so Thnak you again.
