Lowering rope question.

does anyone have an issue with using a climbing rope as a lowering rope, dedicated for that purpose only. Weights below 1000#, Yale Blaze for example.

I have no issue with it, whatsoever, as long as the rope is marked/colored in such a way that nobody ever confuses it with your climbing lines.

I have 5/8 for blocking down, or heavy limbs. Your right, I wouldn't want to shock load 1/2 with 1k. I'm looking at say 30' branch limbs 5-6 inchs at the crotch type thing. Just wanted some feedback.
