I ran my mill for a while today. I installed a new blade and the things cuts great. I was cutting 1 1/2"x 8" x8' boards. I also cut a 8ft 6"x6". I was happy with the speed and everything. My problem is the clamps. They work great but they are a pain to keep screwing and unscrewing. I think I could double production if I had a different clamping setup. Has anyone on here changed their's or modified them at all. I'm not against running another small engine with a small hydraulic pump and making hydraulic clamps. Just trying to find out if anyone else has changed them.

Thanks Scott

When tightening the bolts on the clamps, just tighten them enough so the clamp will still slide forward and back on the frame member. When you have a log on there the clamps will bind enough to hold when you pull the clamp handle back. At least that's what I did with mine.
I'm assuming you mean these clamps, right?

Those clamps are different then mine. I must have an older style. I'll have to look for a set of those. Thanks for the pics
