Finally bought a bandmill:cheers: LT15 with 15 HP and ability to cut 20' . I have cut several logs so far and it seems to be good, far more productive than the CSM I was using. The only problems so far is that I am getting a wave in the cuts as the blade is lifting or sucking down. have re-set the guide rollers as the mill is used and will be putting a fresh blade on for the next cuts. I will post some pics as soon as possible of the mill and lumber milled as well as posing the Pro cut style mill with the 088 for sale in the forum. Any advise or tips on band milling would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

On my LT40 when the blade starts making wavy cutss like that it means its time for a new blade.

Congrats!

I was looking at, and made an offer on an LT15, but the seller never got back to me...so he either sold it or didn't like my offer...:)

I'm sure you'll love your sawmill, and have to say it's one of the coolest woodworking tools to own, IMO.

I've been adz'n some timbers the past couple days, and have to say that I have grown a great deal of respect for our forefathers that did it by hand. I don't totally have the swing perfected, but I've got a lot more timber 'til I get done...Even so, these timbers have been run through a sawmill already, to hand hewn them flat (i.e., what a sawmill does) would be even more by hand. This is brutal back breaking work...

Thank you all for the suggestion of teh new blade and feed rate hopefully I will get to spend some more time on it this weekend. I too like the look of the hand hewn beam.
