Ive been driving around and the only crews ive seen working round here are on the state dole or or line clearance.

The ALB removals in worcester is the only GTW ive seen being done...

Anyone doin normal res/com work?

Nelson tree is in town doin work for national grid id guess. Ive driven by the crews 20+ times and only seen a boom in the air once. Way to milk it guys.
I stopped and said I thought there was no such thing as waiting in tree work and didnt get a response .

Im so sick of only seeing people working for the state, getting paid 4x as much as they should to do 8x less work.

On rainy days here the road guys go backroads and drive 10 mph or stop and hide out of site. So you do not have a monopoly on that. Our gov employees are a joke in some departments. Of course it has been that way for so long it can be rationalized by them as being the right thing to do (for 40 hours).

I was gonna tell one to go sit in the truck and throw me 20-30 bucks and id finish out the day for him while hes making that 40 dollar an hour prevailing wage. :censored:

Id work for minimum wage right about now, it kills me to see people getting paid like 4x more than I was just to stand around.

Ima call natl grid and let them know what theyre paying for.

Were eeking by. Down to 4 10 hour work days for time being. Even some of our old commercial clients have really locked down the budgets making things that much tougher. Hopefully spring looks up and we get some good planting/ornamental work. Picked up a big college job that's gonna be a few weeks worth of work of removals thankfully.

Are you guys all done with the ice storm cleanup? Still pruning and fixing here. Once the snow melts I'm sure there will be another batch of calls for cleanup too. Mike
