Looking at one this weekend. anything to be aware of? I know it is a 30 plus year old saw from looking at Mike Acre's site.
It has points; if it sparks ok, should I leave them alone?
Any tips would be appreciated. Just looking to get it running and cutting. Is there an interchange for the AC plug?

Thanks,
Kenny

I've got a few of these saws. Mine had spark when I got them, and both ran with a little cleaning and fresh gas. Mine are the older ones with 1/4 inch chain, which I like on a saw this small. The handles always feel loose, seems the nature of the beast. I paid $10 each for mine. They are a fine little saw.

Got the saw yesterday, looks like it needs a new starter drum part number 83876 (saw is S/N 12-035I82, model 600082U).
Just seems an odd design with a steel drum crimped onto a plastic pulley, there is a split in the crimp causing the starter to slip, not allowing you to start the engine. It seems in good shape, albeit filled to the gills with oily sawdust, never saw one this packed. Owner said it has sat for 20 yrs. Didn't smell varnish so that's a good thing. Zama carb only has one adjusting screw though. Are these parts still available? Thanks, Kenny
