I cut some new wedges from some white poly cutting boards today. I thought they might slide in easier than wood wedges, and I was right. They're a lot smoother than wood and have less drag, so they take a lot less effort to knock in. The bad news was that they also made the slab pretty slick, and because I was cutting on a downhill slant, the whole thing took off as soon as the saw punched through the end. Still, it turns out to be a good tool in the arsenal so far.
