Want to Sell Makita 6401 w/ Big Bore, MM & ported!

Thinking of selling / trading the other as well. Nothing wrong with it, just want to try something new. Looking for a 50cc or 70cc or pro saw, Stihl, Husky or Dolmar (5105)

The saw was a HD saw that was in good condition. The saw is a 6401's even though it has a 6421 starter cover (non cat muffler). There are no cracks, chips ect out of any of the plastic or the mag case.

The saw has a 83cc big bore kit and the muffler was modded. Base gasket has been deleted. The saw starts, idles, oils and runs like it should. Pulls a 28" bar in oak no problem.

The saw was for cutting firewood. (non commercial).

Compression is 175psi. Piston looked good. There is one minor scuff on the exhaust side that I couldn't get a good picture of. The intake side of the cylinder had some minor scuffs on it. See the pics below.

I would like to sell PHO but might have a used bar and chain available if needed. I would like $500 for the saw. Shipping is around $25 via UPS ground. The tack seen is NOT included (but I highly recommend one!)

He had to take the chains off first though.
Those have got to be a couple growling mean saws right there!
I have really been impressed with my Makita DCS520i and my Sachs/Dolmar 120si (Makita now). They have been rock solid saws that just don't give me any trouble. Someone will get a great saw.

You'll be okay. Just hide it in the basement like Lignator is doing! You can always promise to resell it and beg forgiveness if she finds you out . Then do this...

Who did the port work? I only see a mention of a mm and deleted base gasket.

I did the port work.

generally cleaned everything up. widened the intake and exhaust. cleaned up the transfers.
