Hello,
Does anyone out there know anything about a Makita DCS 9010. Anyone own one and would like to share their thoughts and opinions? Thanks

Basso

Just for starters;
As far as I know, it doesn't fare too well in the power to weight department vs the MS660 and 395xp, but I have seen several favorable reports on it from owners/users......;)

I have never used one.

Btw, the Solo 694 is the same saw, and might be cheaper....

opinions?

heavy yes ! know one can deny this. however probably one of the most underestimated power heads of all time!!!! especially in stage 2 woods (tru work port) mode fabulous transfer port mod potential!! i bluprinted one, carb ,cylender ,rotating assembly,truly phenominal!!! although very nice in stock trim (lugging)power there is a tru wolf!!! in sheeps clothes within every one of them wether red solo /blu makita/orange dolmar,you cannot go wrong with this saws tight tolerance very consistentlydurable low end !even in stock cylender trim with piston mods (lightining) and carefull attention paid to muffler work. bing carb set accordingly. day and night difference with overall powerband from stock. i have been logging with these since 1993 and have alot of bench time with them. and thousands of hours in real working hard wood conditions day in day out summer/winter. 90 degrees above as well as below 32 degrees ambient temp , very sound capable powerhead!!!! hope this helps. any questiones any time 1 231 468 1699 independant farms/logging.
