Since I climb exclusively and have never been around to check one out, could someone please explain to me what the purpose is of a "man cab" on a bucket truck is..and any other information that might be usefull?

all bucket trucks come with a man cab!! did it say cage over man cab? some buckets dont have the forestry package nor do they have a man cab cage to protect from falling debris.

Im really not sure what they are meaning, bucket options are cage, tool boxes and different box placement along with many other things!

a man cab to me is what you sit in just to drive the vehicle down the road, Ive only heard the term mancab used with chip trucks due to the attached "dog house" as we used to call them.

ok..how about this dog house you describe then..? Is it like a mini sleeping area or something for when you're on the road?

made just to carry a few guys,, (or all the extra gear that doesn't fit in the bins. the most common use on used trucks.)

if a company is doing ROW clearing, and you usually need a couple of traffic control guys (flag wavers or stop sign leaners) they can all go in one truck along with the operator and ground guy-guys.. no need to pay the expence of a second vehicle..
