I occasionally sell a cord or two to a friend or relative, since i generally end up with a little more than i burn. Last fall i got 250 - 260 / cord for seasoned wood. I have already seen ads on Craigslist this year for cordwood over three hundred / cord , for both green AND seasoned. I suspect that around here seasoned cordwood will be well over three hundred a cord for seasoned wood. Perhaps just under for green?

For what its worth.... i don't realy plan on selling any wood this season. I'm gonna hord it all for myself. I see a DRASTIC drop in available wood free for the cutting ( which is how i get all my firewood).

One of the local guys is selling green at $150 - or at least he was a couple months ago before winter heating anxiety set in as people started making their oil prebuys.

I've seen some ads in the Lake Winnipesaukee area classifieds asking for $250-$325 for seasoned. I expect the price will go up over the next few months.

The roadside free stuff is disappearing more quickly. I still have a good supply through relationships made with some local landowners. Since we use a cookstove, we bake apple pies to accompany a thank you note at the beginning of the heating/cookstove cooking season.
