Just thought you fella's might like something to drool over, it's 66" long and looks great mounted up on the front end of my Big Mc 125.

It's a pity that the budget doesn't allow for a new chain so i have to get a few loops of second hand stuff to make one as the saw is only for display.

Mc Bob

PS, i dont think there's any trees left in OZ big enough to exercise this beast.

My word! That's a big one Bob. What will you cut with it? Grand pianos!

Good heavens Mc Robert! What pray tell would you do if you had to use that thing, hire a crane to lift it? :) I imagine it's a tad over 200 drive lengths in that chain. It would take 2 files and half a day to sharped it,then again, about 2 complete revolutions for a 12 inch tree.Oh the possibilities are endless. :blob2:

Well Al it isn't that heavy as orkward as it's awfully nose heavy. It will be even worse once it has chain on it.

But it certainly makes a statement.

Mc Bob.

Heard that on the heavy nose. The biggest I have is 48" usable ,143 drivers,.404.That thing will wear you out.I developed a great respect for the west coast timber men that used them.

We have a customer with a couple of big Stihls with 5' bars. The bars have a second man handle on the nose of the bar. They use them to cut up units of 2X4's to size for making pallets.

Ah, I didnt think there were any trees down there big enough to need a weapon of such proportions. then again there probably are, I just dont know about em.

Yes anything big enough for that is untouchable as most old growth is protected here in Oz.

The bar came from Oregon so i imagine it done it fair share of big timber.

Paz tell me more as it sounds like i'll have to stick some fuel in my car damm,
Whens Mudgee on you might send me some details of time and place and i'll see if my little red terror ( read as Daewoo Lanos will drag me that far into the outback).
Email me using my normal email .... [email protected]

Mc Bob.

Bob, you drive a Daewoo? I woulda thought you built a car with a set of SP125 engines built together for an inline 8 engine and put that on your own specially built car body.
