McColluch Pro Mac 700

Hoping I am in the right spot. When I'm using my Pro Mac 700 and cutting a Humboldt notch, my chain brake keeps engaging. Is there supposed to be a spring or something on that actuator cam to hold it in place when cutting inverted with the saw? Thanks, Randy

If the latch is worn excessivly it will allow the brake to engage too easily. I have "adjusted" a few by removing the latch and filing the notch a bit deeper.

Study the operation and you will see what I am talking about.
