I have a BDC 16 on 125 kart saw. The darn thing floods out. When I pull the rope gas pulses out the hi speed nosele.I don't do I have the duck bill valve in backwards. Is what you call the duck bill the little check valve about 1/4 dia. stuck in the body of the carb? What is its function in life? Also when saw sits gas will drip high speed All help would be wonderful.:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :givebeer:

A BDC is a good carb but a real pain in the butt to get running correctly. If you "Google" it you can find the rebuild kits but they are very costly.

I think McBob may have some duckbills .

If however that carb is on a stock 125 Mac it is way too much carb.A stock 125 uses two flat reeds and doesn't have near enough intake area for that huge carb. There were about a zillion intakes made for the 101's that used multi pyramid reeds plus the transfers need a little more size using such a large venturi carb.

Another thing to keep in mind is that many BDC s were bored out to run alcohol.Way too much fuel when running gasoline.

As far as I can tell the saw is a 101 bored .30 over transfers, not touched, port timing not touched.I have two pipes one I think is GEM the other Is a design from McCulloch.I have 3 carbs. Two have larger needles larger needle & seat The metering plate hole is larger.I am using the third.I have a new kit in.The altitude in town is 7200 ft. some of the shows are a little lower.O the reed cage stock two petal.I think will try a smaller carb. thanks.:greenchainsaw:

Just tried a couple other carbs thought I had a gas tily but runs to fat guis not.The carb in question came off a blown up 101 that was running gas. That saw ran hard.I have about 6 101's guis I picked the wrong one:dizzy: :givebeer:
