Yep its grey, fellow before me had a shoelace as a pull cord with a stick as a handle lol. Its in surprisingly nice shape and the P&C look pretty nice. Definitely has been run rich its whole life as the exhaust is gummy as anything. Still needs a proper clean up but I was planning on getting it running and cutting nice and then sending it off to another home.

I may possibly be interested in it when the time comes to let it go, , nice

That's you putting out all those old model gaskets and diaphragms?? I just bought one of your 12-25a diaphragm kits a few weeks ago, I was meaning to send a thank you message. Really good job on those, much better than the previous ones that I free handed. You have any gasket sets made up for the old model 73's?

Had a few more minutes after work. Got the carb back on and fired tonight! It wasn’t happy at all with the H and L screws at one turn out and kept wanting to bog with throttle, so started playing with those. I’m getting close on setting the idle I think. Still far off from good on the mixture screws though and ran out of time again. To be continued.

The RH start top center is a 10-10, next to it is a D-30 or D-36.

The other two large frame saws are 1-41/1-42/1-43 or perhaps a 200.

Hey Mark, just curious, weren't some of the other early 10 series (1-10, 2-10, 4-10, 5-10) also right hand start? And if so, are there any visual characteristics to tell them apart from each other and/or from the 10-10s?
The saw in the pic is a right-hand start 10-series, but I don't recall if it was a 10-10 or one of the earlier models. The pic was taken in the fall of '68, and the saw was probably bought new in '68, possibly '67 at the very earliest.
Would you agree that is most likely (but not conclusively) a 10-10 or 10-10A ?

Thanks but no I don't but I think Brian G. is either making them or going to make them. You might want to contact him here or at Old Saw Shop.
The diaphragm kits are my design and I've sold them as far as Germany, Spain and Australia.

I’d say the idle and low side are dialed in pretty well now!

Also going to the camp this weekend again, so there’s a good chance I’ll get to put it into some wood and tune the high side.

The other -10 models were all RH start (except the 7-10 which also had a Pro Mac style yellow fuel tank) and some or all of the tank was black (except for a few of the 1-10 models).

That tank in the photo is the more squared off design of the 10-10 models. Plus, I'm pretty sure I can see part of the 10-10 print on the AF cover...

All yellow 1-10, notice the tank is somewhat streamlined.



The 2-10 on the left again has the streamlined tank, the Super 2-10 on the right has the Pro Mac style fuel tank.



The 10-10 models had a more squared off tank and many were all yellow.



There were black top 10-10's as well, but they still had the squared off tank.

Were there any black-top 10-10s with right-hand start? The 10-series saw I had in '68 (exact model unknown) had the black top, right-hand start, and the more rounded shape handlebar with the black gripper material at the top. View attachment 1740627001123.jpeg

The saw in your photo appears to be something other than a 10-10 based on the shape of the fuel tank and the handle. But then again, the photo is not very clear.

One photo above shows a black top 10-10 Automatic, but the handle is more squared off. The all yellow 10-10 has that more rounded handle with the black vinyl.

What is the difference between the Pro Mac 55 and the Super Pro 55? Very similar but not the same, are the guts the same?
