Either one worth fixing up?

Depends........why do you want to fix them? Fix to sell? Probably not. Fix to put in your new MacCulloch collection? Probably.

Do they turn over? The second one looks like it's been sitting outside for a few years. Both probably need a lot of work. FYI

I probably will not put too much effort into a saw that I will not use to cut my fire wood. Maybe later in life. I have a D-44 that kind of runs. Needs a few parts and it will be a while before it's running.

The first one is definitely a 3-25, the front handle is unique to those saws. If you don't want it at least get the serial number off of it and pass it along to Ken Garrison A.K.A. Old Mac Guy as he keeps extensive records on the 3-25 model saws.

The other one is a 200 or perhaps a 1-42 or 1-43, the carburetor and choke plus the lack of the bar adjust screw in the bar mount suggest one of the above. Not too much value in either except to a real McNut.

Parts from both the 47 and 3-25 are interchangeable and some of those parts even fit the 49/73/77. Either way... it's really not worth the effort unless your looking to restore the saws for your collection. Flipping them for profit is out of the question.

Yeah its a 3-25.You can see where handle gos right to fan cover and
sits in that rubber grommet. On the 47 it does not.

Yes they would be to put into my collection. I dont sell saws for proffit as this is a hobby for me. If I cant get either running, I will either put em on the saw shelf as eye candy or pass em along to someone who will fix em up ( preferably trade for other saw parts as I have MANY saw "projects").
Fyi.. the 3-25 will make a great companion to my mall 12A.

Before you go very far on either of those machines, have a good look around the bottom with a shop pick. They both have been exposed to the elements for a while. They are real magnesium. It would be a shame to find a pinhole in the bottom of the case after you spend several hours stripping and cleaning parts. Particularly on the 1-42 that already needs everything replaced, swapping out the cases there would make no sense at all. Complete and possibly running 250's (pretty much the same saw) can be had for $50 if you look around.

Will do. Im mostly interested in the complete 3-25 as all parts seem to be there. The other seems to have too much missing and will more less be a parts donor/ boat anchor.
