A acquired this saw is a larger package deal, I was hoping it was a PM850 judging from the lower brace and the long clutch cover I could see in the photos, but alas, it turned out to be an SP60 instead. I decided to go ahead and return it to a more original condition making some necessary repairs along the way:

Cylinder and piston in excellent condition so I replace the rings
Replaced both seals, front and rear anti-vibe mounts
Changed the cracked flywheel cover for a good one
Installed one of my 3D printed sawdust screens
Modified the automatic oil pump to three screws
Blasted, primed, and painted a used lower brace from and SP (painted it black to avoid any more color match issues)
Repaired the worn out shroud hole with a washer and JB Weld, this has worked well on a few other saws
I had to fab a new clamp for the front/lower anti-vibe mount to accommodate the original type lower brace
The wrap handle had padding & friction tape, no bare so add the tape/wrap of your choice
Repaired a crack in the inner shield with low temperature brazing
Changed the muffler cover for a used one in better condition
Carburetor received a thorough going over (fixed H type)
24" Windsor/McCulloch bar with 3/8/.050 anti-vibe chisel chain in very good condition
New 7T 3/8 large rim sprocket
Air filter is in excellent condition, AF cover had a couple of holes drilled in it

Lower brace blasted, primed, and painted...I put it on and kept working before the paint was fully cured. You can also see the new handle insert in the rear handle and the 3D printed sawdust guard.

Air filter is excellent, someone did drill a couple of holes in the AF cover...fixed jet carburetor is ready to go.

Since the clutch cover was already drilled to accept the PM style spike I put one on, makes it easier to adjust the chain tension.

24" Windsor bar, anti-vibe chisel chain in good shape, there is a new 7T 3/8 sprocket hiding back there.

Asking $200 OBO + shipping to help cover my purchase and the parts I put on it. You can't see the new anti-vibe mounts under the fuel tank.

How does this Saw compare to the other mid size 10 series saws?

As usual, it Looks great.
 
Since it is only 60 cc it does not hang with the 82 cc models, but it does perform well when compare to the 10-10S, PM55, and PM60 models. Hard to make a fair comparison against the regular 54cc 10 Series line up since this one has both displacement and comfort advantages. The real benefit over the rigid saws is the anti-vibe arrangement which is just like the SP70, SP80/81/81E saws. The front and rear mounts under the fuel tank, and the front/lower mount are the same as those on the PM850/800/805/DE80/PM8200 with only difference being the way the front handle attaches.

Like all of the vintage McCulloch saws, the SP60 has more torque and a wider power band that most of the more modern 60 cc piston ported saws. The SP60 will handle a longer bar with more authority than the modern high rev saws.

Great Job on the saw! Good price too. How much would you want for 3 of those 3D printed saw dust covers?

Mark, that is an awesome job.

Two questions.

Is there any chance the 3D sawdust guard on the starter would fit a PM 10-10?

If so, would you be willing to share the model? I have a Stratasys 170 at work that needs the occasional G-job to keep it honest.

I paid one of our Engineers to draw it up for me so I hope to recover some of my expense through selling the parts...

If you would be willing, I'd provide you with the model for $12.50 which is what I charge for one of the guards. You can make as many as you need but I would ask that you don't start selling them.
