Menards Hyd Splitter

I saw a splitter in the Menards ad for $799. Anyone know if it is any good. Northern Tool also has a splitter with a 2 way wedge for $999. Which splitter is the better deal, or better splitter? Anyone have either of these?

i was wondering the same thing. I paid 999 last year for a 22 ton huskee. Wonder who makes the Menards one.

I've seen the unit at Menards and the Huskee 22T. I picked up the Huskee 35T this past spring and can not be happier (other then the exhaust is in the wrong place). The Menards unit looked on the cheap side even compared to the Huskee 22T. And when you consiter how long you will have the splitter, I think the Huskee is well worth the extra $200-$300.

Menards seems a step down in quality no matter what I buy there. He's a big time lefty and gives big money to the liberals so I seldom go there.

It's a full blown import unit (vs. the Speeco built Huskees that are assembled in Colorado).

Good luck on any service options as well with the import engine, even if it is a clone.
