Hehehe...sure beats chucking it out of the back of the pickup then having to stack it...when you can just lift and dump!

January 23rd I'm figuring I've burnt a little less than 1-1/2 cords, with 9/1oths of a cord on the deck, 1/10th in the house, and another cord split down below (plus several more cords of rounds).

Not used to having stuff this well seasoned (still not perfect) so I split way too much too small. So I know better for next year.

More cheatin, cheatin goin on all over this forum!

Those are actually nice splits, look bundle quality.

Nice looking operation.

Mild winter gives you a chance to get ahead on future wood, or other projects, whichever is more important to you.

I think Ive gone through about 4, maybe 5. But its all been Basswood that I cut and split early last year. Another month at this rate and I should be through it all. Then its into oak, maple, cherry and locust.

EDIT: Im feeding a stove primarily, and an insert when it gets cold.

I am getting close to 4 cord burned so far this year. I still am burning wood I had intended on using last year. I have about 8 cord set aside for this year of which 6 or so will not be used this year. I have another 12 cord of unseasoned splits for the next two years. Probably have 12 more cord to cut yet (tops from a local timbered area). It has been a good year for us.

Sold 43 cords...and burned 2 fires in the fireplace...does that count?

I'm at just over a cord. Long shoulder season this year meant the IS sipped wood. I burn every day, maybe skipped 2 days since Nov to give the stove a good cleaning.

less than 1/2 cord so far.Early winter was very mild .. was in the high 60s christmas day ,,Now single digits and 12 inches of snow last week.I hate to admit it
but natural gas have dropped to 1/3 of what it was four years ago.I've been running my furnace.bill was $38 for december and $65 for january.

Probably at just under 2 cords right now. Had a few cold weeks lately that started to put a dent in it. Burning white oak now that been drying for about 4 years.
