Mill some oaks

Looking to get some oak tress milled in N. Ill. They are 2' to 3' 12' long. Is this something worth pursuing? They are on the ground and show no rot to speak of

I been becoming a nut when millin and with woodworking....I been savin scraps and making things from em....Free wood,,and if they are close to home,,I's do it...

Are you in the western side of Ill? I know of a few places here in southern WI that does it.

Here's a list of sawmills in illinois organized by county. I found a sawmill off of the list and ended up paying 25 cents a boardfoot to get an elm milled. It is definitely worth it to have hardwood milled as it is so expensive at the stores.
