It was only about 14" at the base (13' long) but we got 1 nice 3.5" slab and 2 nice crown cuts.
Hope to make a few nice benches for the West end of the pond out of the crown cuts. It all has a really nice "live" edge, the bark just falls off!

Just got in the house, wet and Hungry, will try to take a couple of pics later

Twelve minutes for photos! Way to go!!!!!
That is actually pretty fast drying and eating.....I'm much lazier, and tend to take much longer.

Did you happen to slice the 'pith' out of that slab to keep the checking under control? Make for a better seat, without the crack...

Hey Lee nice to see you over here. The pith is the very center of the tree, it's often soft and spongy, and has a tendancy to cause a plank to crack lengthwise, Joe.

Thank you much,
This milling thing is all new to me,
And trying to learn before i go and

Dude,

Check again that was 24 hours,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and 12 minutes.

Thought it was Maple, but the larvae tracks under the bark lead me to think some type of smooth barked Ash?

Still beats my time for getting some photo's(unless I take them right-then-n-there)!!

No matter the type of wood, should make for some nice planks to make seats out of.....
