Made a run back in this morning to mill one of the last two downed hemlock logs left in this area. The Hi-Lift Jack works great but I still need the log a little higher.

Milled another five boards today with one log left, attached are some pictures. Still running the canola oil in the 660 (seems fine) and the veggie oil in the aux. oiler. I'm not finding any stains in the wood from the veggie or canola oil.

Jimminy! Thats some mightly good looking wood. Planed, sanded and 5 coats of lacquer gunned on and ya'll got something there. Looks like Red Pine in the background. You going to fell and mill any? My outfeed table is Red from a roof I took down. Planks were 1" x 14" or so and 12' to 14' long. Here is a piss poor image. The knots look like hurricanes the way they swirl.

Last image. Looks like you're going to drive right between 2 of'em. Maybe just more Hemlock now that I take a better look. Here is a stand of Red Pine.http://inlinethumb01.webshots.com/48576/2582837590105432928S600x600Q85.jpg

I'm almost positive those two are Hemlocks, but I'll get a pic next time. This was just to the right of the rhino (looking from the back)View attachment 198681View attachment 198682, can't believe I've been riding by this for three weeks and never noticed, they were active.

Yonga! yea it doesn't take much to piss them off. I just got a big and active hive from out of a building. They didn't build the case as good for being out of the weather. Trying to make a LED lantern out of it. In the dark I focused a beam thru and the light coming thru the combs is kind of cool. This one is delicate. Basketball size. Needs more shellac but I blew away some of the case.
