I am trying to mill 5"-6" slabs on my Woodmizer lt10.

It's kind of hard to lock them in without wasting a 4x4.
I could use my Delta band saw but that is a slow process.
Any suggestions?,(jigs).

I'm not sure I understand the problem...... you have slabs 5 to 6 " wide from another mill that you are resawing? or are you are trying to get slabs 5 to 6 inches wide from small logs ?

I have a LT40HD and was trying to saw small diameter logs ( 5 or 6 inch diameter ) a number of years ago into small fence posts. I welded up a set of 2 1/2 inch backstops that slip into the cross rails on the mill. I use them in combo with the slip on 3" adapter for the log clamp.
It works well on small stuff.

Grabbing the popcorn and watching this topic......I'll be getting my mill within the next couple of weeks, and I run across small logs often!!
