We had a mini gtg today with me, hillbilly22, and pops21 and our wives, kids, and my dad tagged along. My dad took all the pictures and videos for us so a big thank you went to him. We took down a poplar and then sawed it up into firewood size pieces and noodled all the big stuff down. We broke two cherrys today on hillbillys 372xpw and 395. He's got an awesome setup for a big GTG later on this fall that he's planning.

Here's some more pictures.

Close up of the techlite bar. I think they're a pretty good bar and feels almost like there's not a bar on the saw with the 20". It is a little more flimsy than I thought it would be at only 20".

Here's the big saw lineup of Hillbillys 372, 395, and 660 with my 390 thrown in the mix.

Here's the whole lineup except pops21 041. It was a good runner. We even run the 32" rw bar and semi skip square chain on it. I wish I had a picture of it. Some how we missed a picture of it. I hope there's a video with it.

Here's the aftermath of the tree.

ALL, AND I MEAN ALL the credit goes to mdavlee. He took down the big poplar, and then showed us all some mad skills on the case construction king 4x4 backhoe. Did you guys know mdavlee can boogie in a backhoe. Again, he and his father get all credit. BTW, I'm hear to tell ya that 390 he has is a real witch!!!

I've got videos uploading now. I don't know how long it will take to get them posted. It might be tomorrw.

Here's some videos for ya'll out there.

Looks like you guys and gals had a good time. Nice looking saws. I learned on a 580D 3 stick... thought it was great, till I ran a Cat joystick. I like joystick lots better.

Yeah I've only run a 3 stick twice now. Here's a few more videos.

Here's the 660

As you can tell I've got a ways to go. But this was the first time I've really done anything like this anyway. All I've ever done really is buck wood on the ground for firewood, with my dad always jogging the saw about 90% of the time. But hey, I'm having a blast and learning plus making new friends. Dosent get much better than that.

Yeah it was a great time with some good food too. I've got the 372 noodle video uploading right now. I hope they get done with the read only stuff so I can post the 372 video. It did the best of all the saws noodling. The 390 with wrap clogged up and the 660 clogged up the worst. The 395 did pretty good but didn't throw the noodles as far.

I had a blast today. I wish I had the 288 running. It would put a whoopin on all the saws there.:hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::help:

You get it ported right and it will probably give all of them atleast a run unless we get 36" bars out or something like that.

I finally got the 372 noodle video. The 660 clogged up almost instantly. I think the 660 needs the roller chain catch instead of the other one.

I prefer a track hoe with a hydraulic thumb with joysticks of course.

You know it was a beautiful day with the temperature about 77 I'm guessing. We just had a great time. But with those chain saws who wouldn't. Right?
You know I think cooking a pig would probably be the best thing to do at the big October gtg. If you look at the first picture you can see the pig cooker at the head of the shead. Yeah, I think a pig cookin and a gtg would go well together. I will know for sure by the end of the week if I will be able to hold my October 16 gtg.

A pig cooking would be great that time of year. I hope I can make it if you have it.

I found a picture with pops in it.
