Hi I have a toro 427tx mini I am fitting a plow to for a sidewalk on an account I do. The snow plow was going to b made of a cut down old western 7.5 I have. I was going have a buddy fab the pivoting mount between mini plate and blade. The plow will b hung on a chain so it will drop and float like a real plow so hopefully do a better job than rigid mount ones. How wide of a blade is max pushing. I have not ran the machine in the snow it will b angled most of time. The ones I see seem small I push the bmg broom pretty easily would a 4.5'-5' plow b too much?

we had one for the Boxer and found that a smaller plow worked better
we were using it for places a truck and plow cant go and even with a 42" plow it would spin the tracks on ice, it would crawl on ice in the low speed gear but you can almost shovel as fast as that :)
On just snow it was a beast and made quick work of a set of a 45x100 area that had access to small for our trucks to safely maneuver with a plow and salt box. You can also run a small salt box using the reese hitch adapter and a smaller sno-way that can hold 200-300 pounds and run the 12v from the power adapter on the mini skid.
We ended up leaving the whole rig in an extra garage bay on the clients property last winter, very handy
