Location
twin cities mn
I live in the south end of the twin cities MN and I recently bought my clam truck ( 2001 international w/ a grapple and 20'X6' dump box ) and might be willing to do jobs in the north end of the cities now-

BUT- now that we have the "emerald ash" hysteria going on here, i have HEARD that the state or highway patrol is checking trucks hauling logs / firewood / brush now, to make sure people arent transporting ash trees / brush / wood to other cities / counties, and they can be fined if they are caught doing so.

the reason i ask, is if i work in the north metro, the dump closest to my house in the south metro is the cheapest place, so why not haul it back towards my place and save $XXX dollars worth of dump fees?

but if the state is fining people for doing so, its not worth the risk...

does anyone know of anything about this ? thanks !

I doubt it would be of concern, it sounds like you are staying in the same locale. You could just call and ask the State Police real quick. That's what I do if I have a question like that.

If you cross between quarantined counties you may contribute to the spread of EAB. The links below give you people to contact to ask if you are covered or there is certain work you can do.
