Modifying a VI955 Homelite

hey all! I am looking for someone in "the know" to do some performance mods on the Homelite 955 I am fixing up. Please let me know about reputable machinists who can perform such services.

Rocky- you might have a tough time getting someone to work on your Homelite as parts can be hard to come by for those. You might try Ken Dunn- [email protected] -he's hopped up Homelites for members in the past with good results.

I think you will have a hard time finding anyone that will mod a Homelite saw, I wont do it. Its hard enough to find parts alone for the older Homelite saws since they went to making crappy homeowners saws.

I probably wouldn't mod a saw like that. Although it's easier to get parts for this series due to the XL-98 demo saws using the powerhead, parts supplies are drying up as Ryobi trashes everything. Due to the already agressive design I'd guess porting and carb work would be the main boosts.
