Well, a couple more weeks.....
The framing is wood, and the subfloor is plywood, but the rest of the stuff isn't very supportive of the woods industry. I tried.

Tomorrow flooring goes in.

Looking Good!

Thank for sharing! Might be a money pit, but I bought my house in 2002 and ended up sinking $30,000 in it. Rebuilt a 650 sq ft redwood deck, painted inside and out, new ceramic tile floors, hardwood floors, new lights all around, new faucets, sinks and countertops all around, new doors, new baseboards, 2 sets of french doors, painted all the cabinets, attic fan, ceiling fans, granite shower and jacuzzi tub. Been a real trip in remodelling and draining my savings! Why did I buy it... mostly huge windows and cedar ceiling!Oh.. and the cost have just begun! Wait for the cost of decorating and maintenance!Enjoy your new home!

Looking good slowp.
I wish I worked for the FS, then maybe I could have a money pit like yours.;)

Andy

Well, there's a bunch of us retiring now and very soon. There'll be lots of openings. Go for it!

Nope the cabinets are not oak. I think they are beech? Or birch? One of them b woods.

Nope, the windows are east and west. I planned them for the magnetic shift.
Nah, the site is a little narrow so east/west was the best way to orient it.

You'll know more about your house after the first winter, not a bad idea to make sure the ducting gets cleaned before you move in(unless of course, them guys are all over it).Really surprised water proofing the foundation isnt code down there in rain country and all,but then I spose if it was necessary it'd be on there.

Nice looking house SlowP. I remodeled and added on to mine 5 years ago and enjoyed doing it. Your pics remind me of working on it,everything was new and place was empty and looked huge. Thanks fo sharing.:)

+1. And does the Used Dog have his own room?

He even has his own bathroom! If he'll walk on the floor. He hesitated at the new linoleum, but decided it would hold him.

Well, right now, I could use a shovel GTG, as it looks like the earth moving back may take a while, that guy is good and he is booked. But he's almost a neighbor so maybe when he goes by?????

There are no ducts. I do not care for ducts and central heat, but duct tape is a good thing. Teal of course. The house has those little electric wall heaters which are popular here. Our county owns part of a nearby dam so electricity, is reasonable like in most all of the PNW. The wood stove will be the main heat source.
