anyone know who used to make the montgomery-ward saws? There's one stinking of bad gas in the local saw shop's junk room. Pain is gold and white.. I can't associate that with any mfg..

Monkey wards, had McCulloch make a few saws for em in the later years. the TMY24084A was a PM610 in different colors. some saws I cant say WHO the heck made em, I think pioneer, but I cant be sure.

I sure do miss my TMY24084A.

This is a tiny thing, about the size of a super XL. but it's gold and white, and very thin. I might take pics tmw.

ok, lets make this a little more clear.. here are some pics of the saw.

I've got an old one that was a Remington

according to my local repair shop. Runs great, but uses obsolete chain, so it is a conversation piece only.

Your saw looks a lot like a Comet saw I once had. That company now makes clutches for ATV's, etc. I have had Wards saws made by Remington. Wards likely sold saws over the years make by many different manufacturers.

I have a West Bend 820 here. I am planning on taking it to Baraboo but I am still waiting on a bar and chains.

Mine is the bigger version of the same thing

didn't check the pictures the first time. Mine's in better shape, just needs carb rebuild, but, since parts not available, going to try a carb swap. It has become a challenge.

Hi steve I was just doing some research on westbends and I saw yours do you still have it and if you do could you post some pictures of it Thanks Mike

Obviously I cannot speak for Steve but he still had the 820 back in August as he ran it at Baraboo. I have a dual carb one here that I am trying to put together but I doubt it will compete with Steve's.
