Nice place, I volunteered a couple years ago and did some pruning there. Be a good place to get a start in the business.

Great place--the arborist there bob wells is very good. Stop by March 11 for an all-day diagnosis workshop, check the place out, and meet Bob and the staff! We will visit a lot of the trees on the grounds up close and personal. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Also note the bang for the buck--$450 cheaper than the TRACE thing the weekend before...:embarrassed:

Diagnosing Tree Disorders with Detective Dendro
This workshop begins inside with an overview of the diagnostic process used to determine tree health. Then we will go outside to experience a simulation of the Board Certified Master Arborist test at seven stations. We will assess the health of trees living in a wide range of landscape situations and experiencing a variety of stressful conditions. Facilitators will interpret conditions at these individual scenarios and assist with questions. Students will gain competence in visually diagnosing tree health. A reference library of ISA publications will be available for use to research plant health questions. We will return inside, review the scenarios we saw outside, seek consensus on the test questions, and “score” the tests. This course carries 5.5 CEU’s for ISA arborists. Friday March 11, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Member Fee : $140 (including lunch), Non-Member Fee : $140 (including lunch). Instructor: Guy Meilleur ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist and Columnist, Detective Dendro. Cost: Member Fee : $140 (including lunch), Non-Member Fee : $140 (including lunch). Icon: Classes. Friday, March 11, 2011, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
