I am not sure if this has been posted or not, but it is a good way to kill 25 minutes. The video interviews old river drivers from Machias Maine, interesting to hear the old guys talk.

Thanks for posting. I grew up in Maine and saw the last of the pulp and logging river runs in the 1960s. Trucking logs and pulp wood took over.

Every couple of years that I go back to visit, I see more mills closed. Now there are a few paper mills and only a few lumber mills left. There used to be a lumber mill in almost every town.
