Do you think someone in WDOT has a house in the Methow?

November puts out forest fires and July clears the passes, ultimately.

It seems kind of pointless. The slides keep coming down. I guess the Seattlites are lining up, or ready to do so. When I lived in the Methow, it was nice when the pass closed. But the tourist shops need it open. Sigh...$$$$$

Makes the snow we get here in Northeast Ohio look like a flurry. Id like to plow it once just to try it but not for a living.:msp_wink:

ya there not going to bother with the McKenzie pass any time soon, 30+ feet this year. and not melting much.

I just came over Santiam pass a few weeks ago and there was quite a bit of snow but not like Mckenzie. Where is that in relation to Santiam pass?

to the south, the back way into sisters from springfield.

It was damned near 90 degrees here in southern Indiana today. I sweated through 3 T shirts, it liked 1 degree of breaking the all time high record today. I drank 11 bottles of Power Aid and I'm still thirsty as I type this. I would welcome a blizzard or two right now.

If you go to the Glacier Park web site, they show the snow removal they do every year on the"Going To The Sun Highway". A lot like what Slowp just posted. It seems like they fight a lot of avalanches.

Damn, it sure is pretty out there.

I'm filing for divorce from the South in court tomorrow :D

Remember, two must leave before one moves here.:D Right now we are fogged in and the news reported that we have had 27 sunny days so far this year.

more than likely of thoughs 27 days most were brief aperances.
